Monograph devoted to the Czech illustrator Josef Lada
The most comprehensive monograph devoted to the noted Czech illustrator Josef Lada (1887–1957) has been just released by the Slovart publishing company. Authored by Jiří Olič, Lev Pavluch and Polana Bregantová, the volume has nearly 800 pages and includes more than 850 reproductions. The book comprises not only the artist’s widely-appreciated and popular illustrations, but also his little-known early artwork and a number of unknown drawings. The monograph explores Lada’s creative output and also contains an invaluable list of works by the artist and an English summary. The price of the publication is 2990 Cz. crowns.
