The announcement of the first year of the Věra Jirousová Award for Fine Art Critics
The MeetFactory international center of contemporary art and INI Gallery in cooperation with Czech Centers announced the first year of the Věra Jirousová Award. The award is designated both for emerging and established fine art critics. The award aims to make this field, which is given only a small space in the Czech Republic more visible, and to support beginning authors and help them find opportunities for publishing their texts. At the same time, the work of authors who have made long-term contributions in the area of art criticism will be pointed out.
The award bears the name of the Czech poet, critic and art historian Věra Jirousová (1944 – 2011).
