The album “Lines” by Zdeněk Sýkora contains three color serigraphs from 1980. Their style classifies them to Sýkora’s final period of geometric lines and they can also be described as the predecessors of the period of the artist’s thicker lines. One Line and The Hiršal Trio are three-colored, the Quintet is a five-color print. Striking in all the three cases are the lyrical titles so rare in Sýkora’s oeuvre. It can be assumed that the album has its own inner story which is in no way linked with the accidents programmed by the computer-generated visual form of the prints. The album was published by Galerie Edition Média in Switzerland in the total of 60 prints. The works are available either as an album or as separate prints.
