The table H 178 ranks to the most luxurious successes of the Brno Associated Arts and Crafts Enterprises (Spojené uměleckoprůmyslové závody, UP). The author of the design is Jindřich Halabala who worked for UP from 1928 and was its chief designer in the 1930s. The table is formed by two side panels with four drawers which carry the rounded upper desk. The fronts of the drawers are convex, thus copying the shape of the desk, and have simple metal fittings in the centers. The traditional central drawer was replaced by a pull-out desk which originally served as a typewriter support. The table has been completely restored.
