Jindřich Halabala | Four H-214 Chairs + Table | UP Závody (The Associated Arts and Crafts Enterprises) | 1930 - 1960 | Wood | Functionalism | Modernism | Furniture, Furniture | Seating | Antiques |
The chairs H-214 are the most popular chairs produced after the design of Jindřich Halabala in the UP Enterprises. Their device is the combination of an irreplaceable, highly characteristic design, high measure of comfort of sitting and long durability. The upholstered seat is, in front, carried by straight, conical legs. The rear, saber-shaped legs elegantly continue in the back part of the arm-rest. It is exactly the full-volume rest, in this case decorated by the most luxurious variant of surface – root wood – what makes the chair a really representative piece of furniture which can be perfectly used in both modern and antique interior. The chairs are in a very good condition.
