Zbyněk Havlín pursues numerous media and realizations of various conceptual projects. His work is mainly rooted in painting and sculpture, but his objects very often exceed these traditional fields and touch upon design. Havlín is interested in social, political and ritual subjects, treating them in his specific expressive way. He accentuates aspects of intimacy and a relaxed personal self-reflection, but also humor. His works are represented in the collections of contemporary art held by the National Gallery in Prague and are regularly exhibited in the international context. Havlín presently lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
