The “Panton Chair Classic” ranks amongst the 1960s’ design icons. The Danish architect Verner Panton created its prototype in collaboration with Vitra in 1960. His design is revolutionary for the fact that the chair can be pressed in one piece. Vitra produces the chair from 1967. This version is made of foam fiberglass with varnished surface, which distinguishes it from the cheaper version, “Panton Chair Standard”. The item comes in red, black and creamy color.
