The “Panton Chair Standard” ranks amongst the 1960s’ design icons. Its prototype was designed by Verner Panton in collaboration with Vitra in 1960. The most unique feature of the chair is that it can be pressed in one piece. Vitra produces it from 1967, and in 1990 it introduced a new version made of colored polypropylene without finishing; this also resulted in a noticeable price reduction. The item comes in black, white, red, blue, orange and other colors.
