Maarten Van Severen designed his “A-Table” in 1992 and Vitra incorporated it to its program in 2005. “A-Table” is a characteristic example of Van Severen’s purist approach to design. As its name suggest, the basis of the table is oblique tube legs of stainless steel, while each of the pairs create the A form. The desk of the table, carried by steel construction, is of MDF covered with black rubber varnish which produces a soft, warm feel on the surface.
