The low chair “Anthony” was designed by Jean Prouvé for the Cité University in Antony near Paris in 1954. The chair is of an unusually dynamic shape. The seating part and the backrest form a whole and are made of bent oak plywood resting on a skeleton of black-varnished steel. The tube legs are enclosed with stoppers adapted for a hard floor or a carpet.
