Ivona Nováková |
Ivona Nováková forms one half of the NAJS duo of designers, which she established with Tereza Pízová in spring of 2008. Nováková first graduated from the High School of Graphic Arts in Jihlava, field Advertising Art. Later, she received bachelor’s degree in the Studio of Design at the Art and Design Institute affiliated to the West Bohemian University in Plzeň. Presently, she is a student in the Product Design Studio at the University of Art, Architecture and Design in Bratislava. Nováková’s main field of interest is designing furniture and home accessories and her designs also include complete interior solutions of cafés. Yet another domain of hers is stylish fashion accessories – from futuristic wristwatch to bath suits and snowboard imprint decorations. Her designs have everything what the concept of “good design” requires; they are innovative, playful and characteristic of pure form with slight hint of purism, futurism and high-tech. Prevailing colors are white combined with bright colors. Her materials cover wide range from wood, glass and fiberglass to porcelain and stainless steel. During 2008, Nováková´s realized projects were on display, for example, at the “Designblok”, “Designfest Supermarket” and the Mobitex fair. Since 2006, she has also been designing for the Erpet design company (designs for ČSA, Alltech, Lavazza, Dobrá voda, ČPP, and Fischer).
