The Matryoshka Cup is porcelain set composed of a cup and a saucer while the latter can at the same time serve as a tray. The cup is a rather standard shape with a rounded handle but the saucer-tray has the silhouette of the matryoshka doll. Designer Maxim Velčovský created an entire set based on matryoshka design in 2005 which also included spice shakers and jars. Here, the author wittily elaborates on the motif which was enforced to the Czech society during the Communism era and was subsequently turned into a symbol of the post-revolutionary kitsch for tourists. The number of the desired material is limited. Please verify the availability of the original item before ordering.
