Employing the peaceful scenes generally revered by the Czech nation and borrowed from the oeuvre of the famed Czech artist Josef Lada in a scene illustrating the expulsion of the Sudeten Germans after the Second World War is rather characteristic of the Podebal art group. The aim of its members is to, so to say, kick off viewers, and to develop in them even very unpleasant self-reflections, while at the same time describing the Czech situation via this absurd image.
