Jaroslav Ježek | Dog-Fox | Royal Dux in Duchcov | around 1960 | Porcelain | 16 x 29 x 8 cm | Brussels Style | Porcelain, Accessories - interior, Design | Antiques, Design | price: EUR 71 |
Dog-Fox Dog-Fox was created as pendant to a sculpture of a vixen. The animal is captured standing on all four legs in the moment of an abrupt freeze, as if it was listening. The sculpture is interesting due to Ježek’s rather unusual straight line of the back which obliquely continues to the tip of the tail. In the displayed version, the dog-fox was sprayed in brown color except the details of ears and the tail tip; otherwise purely white variant is common. The figure was produced in the Duchcov porcelain factory during the 1960s.
