Various wooden sculptures Wooden objects first appeared in Gabriel’s oeuvre during the 1980s. The series on display includes earlier works from the 1990s as well as more recent outputs created after 2000 – while the first works are more abstract and geometric. Many objects are characteristic of Gabriel’s favorite perforation of the employed material, which moreover results in a decorative effect on the otherwise compact mass.
