The chair “La Fonda” was designed by Charles & Ray Eames’ for the famous restaurant La Fonda del Sol in the New York Life-Time Building in 1960. The body of the chair is of white fiberglass shell, while the upholstering can be covered with fabric Hopsak in a wide variety of colors. The body rests on a central leg formed by four rods continuing in a four-beam base. The chair is made of polished aluminium. Vitra re-incorporated the item into its production plan in 2007 at the occasion of the 100th birthday of Charles Eames. Also available is the office version with wheels, PLACC. The optimum accessory to the chairs “La Fonda” is the “La Fonda Coffee Table”.
