The “Soft Pad Chair” was designed by the legendary couple Charles & Ray Eames’ in 1959. Its construction is identical with the series “Aluminium Chair”. As the name of the chair suggests, its skeleton is of either polished or chromium-plated aluminium and it comes with a soft upholstering of both the seating part and the medium-sized backrest. Vitra offers the basic version without handrests, EA 205, the version with handrests, EA 207, and the revolving variant of the latter, EA 208. All versions from the series “Soft Pad Chair” can be upholstered with genuine or premium leather in a wide variety of color variants.
