The chair “DAW” is part of the collection “Eames Plastic Side Chair”, designed by Charles & Ray Eames’ in 1948 for the competition organized by the New York Museum of Modern Art. The chair rests on four legs of varnished maple wood, which are reinforced by black-lacquered steel rods. The combination of plastic and natural wood makes the “DWA” one of the most elegant versions from the series. Vitra produces the chair in several color variants, all made of fully recyclable polypropylene.
