The chair DKR is part of the collection “Wire Chair“, which was designed by Charles & Ray Eames’ in 1951. In its shape, the artists departed from their legendary “Fiberglass Chair”, employing the innovative construction of chromium-plated steel wire and thus achieving an unprecedented lightness and transparency. Vitra also offers other versions of this item: the version DKR 5 with a removable seating part, and the version DKR with the upholstering of both the seating part and the part of the backrest. Clients can choose between the upholstering of colored leather and the fabric Hopsak.
