The receding plinth of black marble bears bronze sculpture featuring a Greek hero clad solely in loin cloth and helmet. He wields rounded shield in his left hand, while his right hand is stretched as if he was just about to throw a lance. The work, however, does not capture an action but rather an attractive, heroic pose. According to the signature, the author of the work is the Polish sculptor F. Zwierzejewski who executed it in the early 20th century. The lance is removable.
