The glass and metal sculpture on display originates from 2004. At first sight, it represents a simple abstract construction. Striking, however, is the contrast between the fragile and translucent glass and the heavy metal rail. The symbolical character of the objects, already suggested by the title of the work, is thus moreover gradated by confronting different materials. The specific anti-decoration approach in working with glass represents the main virtue of Kopecký’s work in the field of glassmaking.
