The large-dimensional painting entitled After the Rain is rather unique in Kopecký’s oeuvre. It refers to abstract lyrical painting whose Czech tradition can be, for example, traced in the work of Josef Šíma. Kopecký, however, develops it through strong gestures and generous approach.
