The “Cola Cup” is a cast from the bottom part of a plastic bottle, rendered in glazed porcelain. The outcome is a vessel for a variety of drinks. In his creation, the artist Maxim Velčovský plays with the idea that whereas a broad variety of drinking vessels have survived from all previous cultures, nothing will be left from the contemporary “fast-food” generation. This version is decorated with the former Meissen Onion Pattern whose excessive use under the Communist regime made the motif totally profane. The number of the desired material is limited.
