Dancing Couple | around 1930 | Ceramic | 50 x 35 x 17 cm | Art Deco | Ceramics, Sculpture | manufacturer's trademark | Antiques |
The oval convex base decorated with an undulated line bears a pair of dancers. The woman is clad in a beige gown painted with flowers, whose tail she holds on the level of her shoulders by her right hand. The man in grey trousers and a green shirt apparently leads the woman. Both the fashion and the styling of the entire figures correspond to the Art Deco period around 1930. The sculpture is made of ceramics sprayed and painted on the glazing. It represents a product of the company Katzenhütte and it is of exceptional dimensions.
