The rounded and several times gradating base carries a brown-haired girl clad in a long violet gown. She holds a bouquet of blossoming flowers in her left hand while carrying a basket with roses in her right hand. The gesture of touching her lips with the right forefinger yet emphasizes the astonished expression in her face. The figure of the girl is made of porcelain with painted enamel. Both the stylization of the figure and the painting style are characteristic products of the influence of Wiener Werkstatte in that period. The item on display represents a product of the art department of the Bavarian porcelain manufacture, Rosenthal. The mark suggests that the sculpture originates from the period between 1914 and 1916.
