The vase is made of thick manganese glass cut into facets. The upper third is decorated with orroplastic frieze motif of naked amazons. The vase can be dated to c. 1925 – i.e. the period when the given glassworks’ production became entirely dominated by Neo-Classicism. The style was mainly forged by the factory’s young art-director, Leo Moser, who was at the same time the author of its numerous designs, most probably also of the present vase. The combination of thick colored glass cut into facets with the orroplastic band perfectly matched the aesthetic sense of the arriving Art Deco style.
