Silver Coffee Set | 1930 | Art Deco | Tableware, Silverware | Antiques |
The set was most likely made after a design of Hoffmann’s student Otto Prutscher, a prominent member of Wiener Werkstätte. It consists of a tray, tea pot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and milk pot. All wares stand on low profiled bases, with their bodies decorated in distinct ribwork which is denser at the edges and continues on the lids. All the pieces are made of silver and have palmette-shaped grips. The S-shaped handles are made of ivory.
