Denisa Krausova - "Terra Nostra"

The rather fresh graduate from the field of arts, Denisa Krausová, has only several years of creative work and thus only a few solo exhibitions behind. The recent curators’ interest in her work is, however, undeniable, and the artist today receives invitations to countless exhibitions both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

The aim of the present exhibition is to equally point out at Krausová’s increasingly interesting oeuvre and to offer the selection from her works executed between 2004 and 2009. The exhibition’s title refers to her interest in landscape whose motifs Krausová draws from her visits to her homeland as well from the impressions from travels abroad. Her most frequent subject is a story, a personally experienced reality set into a particular landscape, but often manipulated – shifted to a surreal, dreamy level, which thus results in many new meanings and new contexts.
