The exhibition entitled “Made in IG” was organized at the occasion of the end of pedagogical activities of doc. Academic Architect, Ivan Gürtler, at the Faculty of Architecture with the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. The title of the exhibition directly refers to the professor’s personality and his students – from fresh graduates to the already established and well-known studios.
Gürtler decided to retrospect his leaving the university via an exhibition which reviews his teaching activities and presents his diplomates – the total of 65 studios, i.e. the youngest generation of Slovak architects who are active both in Slovakia and abroad.
The aim of the exhibition, which was fist presented between 25 October and 2 November 2008 in the Design Factory in Bratislava, is to underline the fact that high-quality architectonic works of contemporary architects should become part of the presentation of Slovak culture not just throughout the Slovak Republic, but also across the border.
