Jiri Franta & David Böhm - “Out of the Blue”

Jiří Franta and David Böhm in Brno Artists Jiří Franta and David Böhm are known for their group exhibitions and for creating systems of endless drawings directly on the walls of a particular gallery and other spaces. The drawing medium is the most acceptable tool of expression and their art is influenced by Street Art and comics. But they mainly reflect the world of mass media, art and politics. The exhibition project entitled “Out of the Blue”, especially prepared for the spaces of the Brno Gallery G99, reflects the meaning and the change of contexts of presentation of various media – from drawing and painting to photography – into a new whole. The installation reveals a commentary to the used texts and sentences (either those of the artists themselves, or loaned) related to the art itself or the artistic work.
