Róna in the Jewish Museum in Prague Jaroslav Róna first attracted attention as an excellent painter in the latter half of the 1980s. At that time, his work was described as Neo-Expressivism. Jaroslav Róna (1957), who graduated from the field of art glassmaking at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, mainly specializes in painting and sculpture, but also graphic art, drawing, mosaic, stage design, glass painting and other fields. Róna participated in the activities of the generational theater movement “Prague Five” and is one of the founders of the art group The Stubborn whose first appearance in 1987 became the boldest demonstration of the arrival of Modernism in Bohemia. Róna’s present exhibition, held in the Prague Jewish Museum, mainly presents his works from the most recent period.
