The City of Ústí nad Labem in Prague The exhibition entitled “Concept, Image, Communication, Style, Function”, held in the Trade Fair Palace in Prague, consists of five sections presenting the results of both the departments and studios of the art school affiliated to the Art and Design Faculty of the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem. The works on display document the main focus of the school, based on conceptual projects in the fields of photography, new media, design and visual communication. The final form of the exhibition and its individual sections were prepared in collaboration among pairs of curators and heads of the school’s studios as well as the exhibiting artists themselves. The school in Ústí has very interesting results behind and its confrontation with the Prague context is rather attractive for the viewers.
