Koblasa in Graphic Art Exhibitions of the Galerie Art, based in Chrudim, focus on well-tried and established artists. This time, the gallery presents prints created by the intrinsic sculptor Jan Koblasa. One hundred minute prints on display testify to Koblasa’s artistic activity during the past fifty years and reflect the influence of Expressionism and existential philosophy as well as the Informal movement. Koblasa left his homeland, which was then Czechoslovakia, in the critical year of 1968 and came to lecture in the field of free sculpture in the German city of Kiel between 1969 and 1998. Koblasa’s oeuvre in general bespeaks of his abstract, expressive inclinations. Koblasa’s works are part of numerous prestigious collections both in the Czech Republic and abroad. All exhibited works are available for sale. Jan Koblasa Galerie ART Chrudim 3 November – 20 December 2008
