The Body of Veronika Bromová Veronika Bromová’s retrospective was organized by the Prague City Gallery which, after all, closely follows the artist’s oeuvre from the very beginning of her career. Bromová was one of the first to focus on the field of computer-generated photography and today, she lectures it at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Veronika Bromová moreover represented the Czech Republic and the 1999 Venice Biennale. The exhibition will mainly display Bromová’s recent works; also presented, however, will be her earlier fundamental works and installations as, for example, “ZemZoo”. Bromová remains faithful to the subject of her own identity and to the consistent work with her body as a metaphor of more general issues. Many of the photographs on display will be exhibited for the first time ever.
