Tranfer - All about … Academy of Fine Arts Prague | Munich, Germany | 21/08 - 20/10/08
The exhibition entitled “Transfer” is a presentation of painters who graduated from the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, while some of them remained in the institution as lecturers. The event is held in the WhiteBOX Gallery in Munich. The project presents figurative painting from the period of the past twenty years, as it developed on the academic ground via the teacher-student relationship. This is also encoded into the exhibition title that not only suggests the export of experience but also, in another sense, export of achievements by Czech artists abroad. Displayed will be works by almost thirty artists of three generations.
