6. Biennial of Young Art ZVON 2008|Prague

6. Biennial of Young Art ZVON 2008 | Stone Bell House - Prague, Czech Republic | 27/06 - 21/09/08

The Biennial of Young Art – Zvon Again, the Biennial presenting the work of the youngest generation of artists takes place in Dům U Kamenného zvonu under the title “Zvon 2008”. This year’s exhibition critically reassesses the earlier criteria of talent scouting – the same curator chose the same artists as two years ago to show their new work. The architectural arrangement, too, is reminiscent of the last display evoking a kind of déjà vu in the viewers. The majority of the artworks were made exclusively for the Biennial. The exhibition is accompanied by a conference about the exhibition’s themes and many other programs. The artists presenting their work are as follows: Jesper Alvaer, Zbyněk Baladrán, Josef Bolf, Filip Cenek, Patricie Fexová, Jiří Havlíček, Jakub Hošek, Magdalena Hrubá, Jana Kalinová, Barbora Klímová, Eva Koťátková, Ján Mančuška, PAS, Jiří Skála, Ludmila Smejkalová, Matěj Smetana, Petr Strouhal, Kateřina Šedá, Jan Šerých and Evžen Šimera. 6th Biennial of Young Art ZVON 2008 City Gallery Prague (Galerie hlavního města Prahy), Dům U Kamenného zvonu June 27 – September 21, 2008 Curator: Karel Císař.
