Video from the Netherlands The largest exhibition of Dutch new media in the Czech Republic presents most recent videos filmed by the graduates from selected academies of fine arts in the Netherlands. The works on display were provided by the youngest generation of artists whose films and videos discuss thorny social subjects, limits of human corporeality and principles of social utopia, at the same time submitting new ways of expression. The exhibition will encompass graduate’s works from between 2006 and 2008. The curators of the exhibition are František Kowolowski from the House of Arts of the City of Brno and Radek Váňa, artistic director of the gallery DE VEEMVLOER Amsterdam. The aim of the exhibition is to introduce Czech public into the possibilities of new media and to clarify their role in the context of contemporary fine arts: new media as a totally autonomous means of artistic expression, perfectly equal to the traditional artistic forms. Exhibiting artists: Simon Says, Douwe Dijkstra, Maya Cohen, Joachim Van Hunt, Sil Van Der Word, Marta Jurkiewicz, Gerbrand Burger, Iris Luhrmann, Avis Kristin, Laurence Aëgerter, Jon Erlend Larsen,
