The Brno Biennial for the 23rd Time The international exhibition “Brno Biennial” represents the best of the international design already for the 23rd time. The Brno Biennial was launched in 1963 and represents the oldest exhibition of graphic design in the world. This year, it is devoted to graphic design, illustrations and typeface in books, magazines, newspapers and digital media. Part of the Brno Biennial is not only the competition exhibition but also a symposium and numerous accompanying exhibitions organized in several places in the Moravian capital. This year, also the well-known designer Stefan Segmeister holds his solo exhibition in the framework of the biennial, the event will at the same time present Slovenian and Slovak design and works by Fumio Tachibana, an exhibition on a Loos’ subject “ornament and crime” and also design from the fields of street art and graffiti. 23rd International Biennial of Graphic Design Brno 2008 Graphic Design, Illustration and Calligraphy in Books, Magazines, Newspapers and Digital Media Moravian Gallery in Brno 17 June – 19 October 2008
