Falling in love with space The exhibition whose name is a play on words with the phrase “love at first sight” and the art form “site-specific intervention”, is a careful selection of Czech and foreign artists endowed with a capacity to work with a specific site. They carried out a conspicuous as well as a less conspicuous intervention at Futura Gallery, which is very impressive and surprising. The Italian curator Emanuela Nobile Mino invited the artists with whom she had worked in the premises Volume! in Rome and their Czech colleague Dominik Lang who produced a new railing along all forms found in the gallery. The Italian artist Marina Paris sowed grass on the gallery’s floor and hung a swing whose movement virtually breaks one of the walls. Almost invisible installations were brought by the German artists Olaf and Carsten Nicolai who work with specific stories. Touching is the work of the French artist Amande In who installed a mixture of 513 perfumes. “Love at First Site” Futura, Prague May 28 – August 31, 2008
