David Hanvald - Acrylic, canvas, Hanvald

David Hanvald, graduate of the painting studio at VŠUP, member of the Obr. group, has been continually working with reinterpretation, reflection and apropriation of minimalist and constructivist approaches to paintings. He also conveys architectural formations and details into the language of painters.
Hanvald prepared several small custom-made series of paintings for the NoD Gallery which refer to famous Czech artists such as Karel Teige, Václav Špála and Hugo Demartini.
Curators: Jiří Machalický is in charge of it together with main curator of the group Obr. Martin Dostál.
