Ladislava Gažiová - How to build islands

The Roma painter Ladislava Gažiová of Slovak origin that is currently living in the Czech Republic, is one of the most important painters of her generation. In the work of Lada Gažiová elements of street art in the form of splashed stencils blend together with a conceptual way of thinking, esthetics of the American independent music scene with topics from the Slovak or rather Roma countryside, rituals and cultural traditions.
For a short time Ladislava currently left the field of painting and started to experiment with photograms. Her exhibition at the Luxfer Gallery will certainly be surprising for many.
