Václav Misař, a graduate of the Jiří Sopka studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague tries to incarnate the atmosphere of a feeling, give weight to subtleties and meaning to banalities. Misař builds on realistic tendencies in painting and tries to find what is beyond the reality of everyday human actions. As he himself says: /“I am more interested in how man seizes, chooses and lays things than what these things are.“/
